Welcome to Ordsall Primary School.

I am delighted to welcome you to our school community, where we are proud to support every child to Play, Learn and Grow Together. It is a privilege to be the Headteacher of Ordsall, and our mission is to be a school where everyone is encouraged and supported to be the best that they can be.

At Ordsall, we place children at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated and caring staff work hard to provide a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where pupils feel valued, supported and confident to succeed. We recognise that children learn best when they feel secure, respected and understood, and this underpins our approach to teaching, behaviour and wellbeing.

We offer a broad, ambitious and engaging curriculum that is carefully designed to build knowledge, develop skills and foster curiosity. Alongside high academic expectations, we provide a wide range of experiences, including trips, visitors, clubs and enrichment opportunities, so that children can broaden their horizons and develop the confidence to engage with the world around them.

Our school values sit at the centre of daily life at Ordsall. Through our RESPECT values — Resilience, Effort, Support, Passion, Enrichment, Compassion and Teamwork — and our RESPECT Curriculum, children learn how to build positive relationships, manage emotions, understand diversity and belonging, and keep themselves and others safe. This helps to create a calm, respectful and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
